Congratulations to the M events team, who picked up three Stevie awards at the International Business Awards 2019. A lot of hard work and a healthy dose of creativity helped us bring home two Golds in the Conferences & Meetings category for the Illegal Wildlife Trade Conference 2018 and the Zero Emission Vehicle Summit 2018 and a Silver in the Cause & Green Event category.
Competition was fierce, with a record 4,000 entries from over 70 countries, but M stood out for its innovation in delivering sustainable events at scale to achieve maximum social impact.
The Illegal Wildlife Trade Conference London 2018, the largest international conference of its kind, was managed and delivered by M for the UK Government and brought together global leaders to agree measures to tackle criminal wildlife traders and protect the world’s most endangered species from the threat of extinction.
The Zero Emissions Vehicle Summit 2018 was a world first for the UK and represented the commitment of former Prime Minister Theresa May to ensuring the UK leads the world in reducing net carbon emissions. The Summit kick started the Government’s Road to Zero strategy, which aims to accelerate the development of a global zero-emission vehicle market.
The Stevie awards cap a record breaking 2018 for M, in which the company won the largest number of awards in its 30-year history, across all its expertise sectors: digital, experiential and communications. Success at the IBAs is an encouraging reflection of the company’s continued focus on sustainability across all areas of the business.
Nigel Engeham, M’s Sales Director said:
“It is our goal to create extraordinary relationships through experiences. In this case it was ensuring that the UK government remains at the forefront of efforts to reduce emissions from vehicles or increasing the awareness of how the illegal wildlife trade continues to impact our natural world.
These awards are a testament to M’s dedication and commitment towards creativity, innovation in supporting initiatives that drive positive social impact.
We are proud of the relationships we have built with the UK government over the past ten years, and I would like to thank them for their trust and belief in our creativity and production quality.”
John Young, M’s Executive Creative Director said:
“The creative and production departments at M are delighted to be able to deliver creativity that raises the profile of important initiatives such as these. Our dedicated creatives love being part of this type of project, pushing the boundaries on behalf of our clients, while delivering thought provoking and considered projects that create positive effects. It’s a privilege to have won such an auspicious international award, especially for a project so close to our hearts.”
